Heart and Mind Therapy provides emotional and psychological support, counselling, and guidance to individuals seeking to improve their mental well-being. The service is rooted in the ethical frameworks set by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Ela Kardas is currently working towards professional membership in these organisations.
2. Purpose of the Service
​The primary goal of Heart and Mind Therapy is to support clients in building emotional resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth through a professional and ethical therapeutic relationship.
3. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All sessions are confidential, except in cases where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).

Client records are securely stored in compliance with UK GDPR regulations.

No information will be shared with third parties without explicit client consent.
4. Session Structure & Fees

Sessions are typically 60 minutes long.

Fees and payment terms will be discussed prior to the first session.

Cancellations require at least 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged.
5. Code of Ethics & Professional Standards

6. Client Responsibilities

Any concerns should be communicated to the therapist for resolution.
7. Ending Therapy

Clients can choose to end therapy at any time but are encouraged to discuss this decision in advance.

The therapist may also suggest ending therapy if it is deemed no longer beneficial.
By attending therapy with Heart and Mind Therapy, clients acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
